Bandwise EQ is a browser extension that equalizes the audio of browser tabs. It is designed to work entirely on your device.
Data collected
None. Bandwise EQ does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal or usage data. It has no analytics, no tracking and no advertising, and it makes no network requests.
How the extension handles your data
- Tab audio. When you turn the equalizer on for a tab, the browser gives the extension that tab's audio stream. The audio is filtered, analyzed (spectrum and level meters) and played back in real time, entirely in memory on your device. It is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere. Capture stops when you turn the equalizer off or close the tab.
- Settings. Your equalizer settings, presets, display preferences and the list of sites you chose to remember (their host names, for example
youtube.com) are saved in the browser's extension storage on your device. The extension does not send them to any server. - Current site. When you open the popup, the extension reads the host name of the current tab (through the
activeTabpermission) only to offer the optional per-site memory. It does not read or modify the content of any web page.

Third parties
The extension does not use any third-party service. This website doesn't either: no analytics, no external fonts.
